When I started the game and the Treyarch little intro thingy started, it had no sound. I didn't think much of it, but then the menu had no sound, either. Started a game. No sound. To make matters worse, when I quit the game, my computer in general didn't have sound.
My volumes are all the way up, nothing is muted, everything's as it was before. Just no sound output. Tried playing music. To make matters even stranger, sound eventually comes back, but it's only after I attempt to play something in iTunes.
I've regained sound times after trying World at War again times, and every single time sound returns, it's after I've tried to play something in iTunes as opposed to WinAmp, Windows Media Player, and Ruckus.
I even tried just not using iTunes to see if it was coincidence. Open iTunes and try to play something, wow, sound is back for everything. I've never seen a problem this weird before with a program. Anyway else experiencing something even remotely like this? EZXSniperZzz 13 years ago 3. The sound isn't even worth the trouble of getting it fixed.
JagdPanther Topic Creator 13 years ago 4. Well it'd be nice if it were fixed so that it doesn't mess with my computer's sound in general. And Pulsar, sorry, that didn't work. Thanks anyway. Run dxdiag. Install Steam. Store Page. Taco View Profile View Posts.
I've been trying with no success to get the sound to work with WaW. I've tried quite a few supposed fixes with no result as of yet. I was at least able to get it to run successfully by placing the required DLL's in the game folder. I'm not really a fan of this method but I was at least able to get the game to launch and play just fine.
I've read it's part of the DirectX library. Peta View Profile View Posts. Last edited by Peta ; 6 Aug, pm. No sound in multiplayer, but I have sound in single player--any suggestions??
